Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Manager to provide lead administrative support to our clinic/patient office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in medical office administration and be able to respond to urgent issues related to serving patient/families at the request of clinical professionals.

As a Medical Office Manager, you will support clinical staff as a resource and in basic and complex problem solving related to administrative needs. You will also direct staff in solutions and participate in recruitment and daily supervision of staff.


Key Responsibilities:

Education:
A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Post-high school vocational/specialized training is preferred. An Associate's degree is also preferred.

Minimum Experience:
4 years of experience in medical office administration completing similar duties. Office management and/or supervisory experience is preferred. Previous budget experience is also preferred. ICD 9 CPT 4 coding experience is required. Knowledge of contracted payers and other revenue sources is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ability to promote a constructive and positive atmosphere within the work area by demonstrating the ability to cooperate with and assist physicians and other staff.

The ability to remain flexible in staffing patterns and resolution of staffing conflicts; the ability to be a team player. The ability to use appropriate organizational skills in setting priorities for work.

Problem-Solving Required:

The ability to be an effective problem solver through active problem identifications and collaboration with other staff, physicians, providers, insurers, other staff, managers from other departments, and Hospital Administration.

The ability to resolve conflicts in a pro-active manner that demonstrates a high level of customer service.

Technical Knowledge:
Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required. Excel skills are required. EPIC experience is highly preferred.

Communications Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to deal effectively, courteously and successfully with management physicians, staff, patients, community and vendors Supervisory/

Management Responsibilities:
Participates in recruitment and daily supervision of staff. Assists in recruitment, interviewing and selection of new staff members. Participates in evaluation of members, recommending counseling or corrective action as necessary, forwards issues to the manager/management coordinator. Trains staff on process, provides orientation, training and direction of office staff and monitors employee's performance.
