Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, electrical systems, and other vehicle components
  • Conduct advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
  • Able to take home assigned mobile service truck, as applicable, and secure vehicle and contents
  • Proven hands-on mechanic, customer service, and account management skills
