Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement Events is a key member of the University Marketing team at William & Mary. This role is responsible for creating engaging event experiences for alumni, friends, and donors to foster a sense of community and support the university's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement event strategies to engage alumni and friends of the university
- Collaborate with University Marketing, University Advancement, and other campus partners to create comprehensive event plans
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless event execution
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote events and engage target audiences
- Monitor event budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or coordination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in higher education or a related field
- Knowledge of event marketing and promotion
- Ability to develop and implement creative event concepts
- Experience with event registration systems and CRM software
