Job Summary

We are seeking a Georgia-Alabama-Mississippi Water Business Development Manager to join our established and successful team. This position is responsible for leading marketing and business development activities to meet Net Fee Booked (NFB) goals, while positioning our GA-AL-MS WBG for year-over-year growth across our four Market Sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an overall growth strategy for the GA-AL-MS Water Business Group.
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships, and identify, establish and grow relationships with new target clients.
  • Develop market networks and position HDR for project opportunities that result in client selection and award.
  • Lead project pursuits, including development of winning approaches, preparation of proposals and presentations, quality review, and coaching presentation teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering (preferred), professional, or related field.
  • Professional engineering registration in Georgia, Alabama and/or Mississippi is preferred, or similar technical credentials/experience.
  • 15+ years of experience with program development, pursuit management, and client relationship development in the water consulting industry.
  • Proven business development success in the water consulting industry.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Existing network of clients and teaming partners in Georgia, Alabama and/or Mississippi is preferred.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Commitment to HDR's core values of quality work and continuous improvement.
