Position Overview

The role of a Client Manager in Commercial Lines is crucial for ensuring client satisfaction and effective service delivery. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all essential responsibilities outlined below.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage the processing of applications, policies, endorsements, and other documentation related to client services during non-renewal periods.
  • Provide assistance to clients regarding policy coverage, exclusions, and inquiries, while supporting Producers in client servicing.
  • Oversee client accounts with guidance from Producers or Client Executives, including research and resolution of client inquiries related to coverage and policy issues.
  • Implement routine policy modifications as necessary.
  • Facilitate the renewal process under the supervision of Producers or Client Executives, which includes conducting exposure analyses, strategizing with stakeholders, and managing market comparisons for optimal client outcomes.
  • Support Producers and Client Executives by preparing presentations and proposals, and participating in client meetings as part of a collaborative team.
  • Maintain accurate client files and provide standard administrative support, including billing processes.
Client Service Excellence
  • Establish and nurture high levels of trust and confidence with clients through proactive communication and timely resolution of inquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all client-related documentation.
  • Educate clients on policy details, changes, and coverage requirements.
  • Assist clients in modifying their coverage as needed.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and manage monthly expirations effectively.
  • Adhere to quality and timeliness standards within the Agency Management System, documenting all activities appropriately.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Marketing Collaboration
  • Work alongside the Sales Team to develop strategies that encompass coverage determinations and pricing targets.
  • Submit applications with required documentation and follow up to secure timely quotes and policies.
  • Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers in a professional manner.
  • Prepare proposals and provide technical support during the sales process as required.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to refer clients to other departments for additional services.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Professional Development
  • Prioritize and manage personal workflow to ensure efficient processing of responsibilities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Keep documentation and records current and organized.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to provide information and guidance to achieve company objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and legislative changes to enhance knowledge and performance.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a mid-sized brokerage environment.
  • Proficient in various Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations.
