Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Sales Professional to join our team as a Sales Engineer - Power Distribution. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling IEM power distribution products (MV/LV Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards) through direct channels. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining medium and large Electrical Contractor accounts and establishing strong relationships with key end-user accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain medium and large Electrical Contractor accounts
- Establish strong relationships with key end-user accounts
- Assemble large project package quotations, including IEM and non-IEM products, to furnish a complete bill of material to customers
- Manage forecasting and provide information to the Sales Director for capacity planning
- Work with the Sales Director to establish, own, execute, and continuously develop an agreed and sponsored Account plan
- Identify and build positive relations with all account decision-makers and influencers who impact current or future business
- Deeply understand and articulate the client buying process
- Identify and engage in revenue opportunities within defined accounts
- Understand and capture the clients' challenges and requirements
- Use personal and internal resources to develop proposals that meet or exceed client requirements
- Follow the client buying journey/process to commercially respond and offer proposals
- Oversee the effective handover to the Platform Execution team
- Maintain ongoing oversight of all commercial-related engagements for customer success/satisfaction and our performance as a vendor
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of years' experience in the sale of power distribution equipment (MV/LV switchgear/switchboards)
- A strong track record of negotiating medium and large project orders, successfully developing new contacts, maintaining current relationships with major contractors throughout the sales cycle, and maximizing client potential
- Experience generating accurate project proposals utilizing MV/LV switchgear plus non-IEM products to present a complete bid package
- A self-motivated individual with a high level of professionalism, excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills
The general territory will be the Kansas City/Missouri/Kansas area. Your office base will be remote, allowing you to work independently and effectively manage your time.
