Position Overview

A reputable engineering firm focused on bridge development that strengthens communities and enhances transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews, investigations, and formulate suitable recommendations for assigned engineering initiatives.
  • Oversee projects and act as a subject matter expert (SME) on large and intricate site planning, construction, expansions, or modifications.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to the site management team regarding relevant processes, practices, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering sectors.
  • Develop and assess Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) proposals for capital funding requests.
  • Evaluate and manage contracts with service and equipment vendors as necessary.
  • Represent the site in company-sponsored committees, task forces, or teams.
Qualifications

Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of highway bridges and structures. A Virginia PE license is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with a Master's degree being advantageous.

Compensation: $64.90 per hour
