We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty and Mathematics Tutor. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Mathematics Teacher Education students in preparing for the Mathematics 208 exam (ILTS 208), required for licensure for teaching in Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and tutor Mathematics courses to students in a part-time capacity
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning
  • Assist students in preparing for the Mathematics 208 exam (ILTS 208)
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Tutoring or teaching experience at the high school or college level with a variety of courses, such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, and statistics
  • Familiarity with the Illinois math content test for teacher licensure, ILTS 208
  • Teaching certificate in secondary mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Mathematics Teacher Education students
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies
