Job Summary

As a Project Manager II - Engineering at HNTB, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle, including developing the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing the delivery of the project plan to successfully accomplish HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project scope and fee quotation, and assist in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
  • Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
  • Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mini-mega and mega projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in planning, design, and/or construction of projects for transit owners in Southern California.
