Job Title: Program Manager, Design and Planning

At Hertz, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our design and planning efforts for car rental facilities and airport properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the planning and design process, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning and design process for car rental facilities and airport properties, including new construction, modernizations, and reallocations.
  • Develop and implement design packages for local jurisdiction submittals, including renderings and other necessary documents.
  • Manage external vendor relationships in areas such as architecture, engineering, signage, and FFE.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering and Construction departments, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is communicated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop digital CAD schematic design fit outs for airport and off-airport facilities, supporting airport planners, real estate managers, and other key corporate stakeholders.
  • Stay current on design industry market trends and best practices, as well as ADA code requirements and compliance factors for new and retrofit design work.
  • Proactively seek ways to optimize planning/design to drive corporate cost saving/avoidance initiatives while preserving and augmenting the customer/employee experience with safety in mind.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Customer Experience, Real Estate, Properties, Airport Planners, Construction PMs, Facility Managers, Local Operations, Safety, Security, architectural and engineering partners, and others.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of advanced experience in CAD/Revit drafting of commercial architectural projects.
  • Experience using AutoCAD (or Revit), SketchUp, and Enscape to develop renderings and conceptual design.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite programs, especially PowerPoint.
  • Highly proficient in reading and understanding architectural and MEP drawings, including technology standards.
  • Experience in a fast-paced business environment, often requiring multi-tasking.
  • Strong presentation skills and solid business acumen.
