Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Plasma Collection Center team. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of donor safety and welfare, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Safety and Welfare: Ensure that all donors are properly screened and evaluated for suitability for plasma donation, and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent adverse reactions.
  • Medical Judgment: Use your independent medical judgment to evaluate donor suitability, and make decisions regarding donor safety and welfare.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all center operations are in compliance with FDA, EU, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of medical professionals, and provide guidance and support to ensure that all center operations are running smoothly.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure that all center operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree: Must have a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Medical Licensure: Must be currently licensed to practice medicine in the state where the center is located.
  • CLIA Certification: Must be currently certified in CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) or be willing to complete the certification requirements prior to starting work.
Working Conditions

The Medical Director will work primarily in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area, with occasional exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
