Your Role:
The Substitute Instructional Facilitator is essential in maintaining instructional continuity, fostering a positive classroom environment, and upholding school-wide protocols by stepping in for absent teachers across Achievement Prep schools. This role may involve working in either elementary or middle school settings and requires active participation in community events and daily school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Coverage: Act as an internal substitute teacher, filling in for absent instructional staff.
- Collaboration: Work with educators and school leaders on lesson design and assessment strategies.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with families regarding student progress.
- Behavior Management: Implement the Achievement Prep behavior management system consistently.
General Support:
- Assist in administering school-wide assessments.
- Provide additional support in classrooms with higher needs.
- Engage in small-group tutoring sessions.
- Participate in daily staff meetings and professional development.
- Contribute to school-wide responsibilities, including lunch and recess duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in K-12 educational settings.
- Experience working in underserved communities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
