About the Role

This is a highly autonomous role that requires strong intuition for business, planning, and the ability to implement strategic sales plans. The Regional Sales Manager will lead strategic sales targeting industrial customer accounts, promoting the company's industrial products, from instrumentation and reagents to fully integrated solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute monthly sales territory and account plans to achieve assigned targets.
  • Manage all opportunities utilizing a CRM, following standard sales process steps.
  • Prepare and present a monthly funnel review, demonstrating the quality of the funnel, activity plans, and command of the account base.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with engineering firms and other accounts that indirectly influence the buying decisions of the customer.
  • Develop a network of customer and industry contacts to position the company as a key member of the water management community.
  • Collect and report information on all competitive activity, business opportunities, sales trends, and results within the assigned market.
  • Participate in sales activities, including customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars, and product demonstrations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of practical water management experience as an operator, seller, technician, engineer, project manager, or other field-related role.
  • B2B experience selling complex industrial products and solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in the field.
  • Overnight travel required within the assigned territory: 75%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: California State Water Resources Control Board, Grade D4 or D5, or equivalent.
  • Valid California State Water Resource Control Board T3 Certificate or CWEA Wastewater Operator 3 Certificate or Advanced Water Treatment 3 Certificate.
  • Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist as required by the State of California's Health and Safety Code.
