St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Graduate Occupational Therapy Program.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and teach course content to reflect evidence-based practice and current knowledge in occupational therapy.
  • Carry out excellence in teaching and advising with a diverse student population.
  • Develop and demonstrate learner-centered strategies.
  • Collaborate with other faculty to teach in areas of content expertise.
  • Design, teach, evaluate, and revise course content and learning experiences to promote student learning.
  • Adhere to grading procedures and standards in accordance with the University's grading policies.
  • Establish positive relationships with students to promote their success.
  • Model professional attitudes and behaviors.
  • Provide prompt, quality feedback and advising to students.
  • Refer students to support services as appropriate.
  • Attend events to orient, support, celebrate, and/or reward student activities.
  • Establish office hours to accommodate student needs.
  • Develop and carry out scholarly activities in collaboration with faculty, students, and the community in an area of interest aligned with the department's scholarship agenda.
  • Engage in professional development activities to strengthen expertise and enhance ability to fulfill responsibilities as a faculty member.
  • Produce scholarship shared with external audiences through peer-reviewed publication and/or presentation beyond the University and local levels.

Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Initially certified occupational therapist with licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an occupational therapist in Minnesota.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assigned areas of teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-baccalaureate level teaching experience.
  • Experience in pediatrics or management administration.
  • Clinical practice experience.
