Job Summary:

The Louisiana Department of State Civil Service is seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs that meet the needs of our employees and align with our organizational goals.
  • Design and deliver training sessions that are engaging, interactive, and effective in transferring knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop training content that is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to our employees' needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop targeted training programs to address these gaps.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, training and development, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on adult learning and performance improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our employees.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
