As a key member of our team, the Activities Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing a wide range of activities that cater to the social, spiritual, and psychological needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and verify assistance for residents participating in activities and events as needed
- Provide in-room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events
- Create an ongoing calendar of activities that meets multiple needs and is accessible and appealing to residents of all ages and abilities
- Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or Certified Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
- Two years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting
- Prior completion of a state-approved training course
- One to two years of management/supervisory experience
