Clinical Reviewer

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Reviewer to join our team at Independent Health Association. As a Clinical Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of medical records and coverage determinations.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and research clinical appeals, complaints, and grievances to ensure coverage determinations are consistent and within clinical guidelines and member benefit contract.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Medical Director to lead coordination of clinical review and prepare written responses to appeals and complaints.
- Develop and implement plans of correction and provide education to members and providers on coverage determinations and member benefit contract.
- Initiate ancillary department referrals in accordance with regulatory standards, clinical criteria, and member benefit contract.
- Licensed NYS Registered Nurse required with active, unrestricted license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Four (4) years of clinical experience required, Utilization Management experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with managed care benefit plans.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
