Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Coordination Specialist to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our pipeline facilities through engineering evaluation and communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate project plans for proposed development, roadway, railroad, and construction activities in proximity to our pipeline rights-of-way and its impact on pipeline facilities.
  • Determine the constructability of proposed plans and the impact that construction will have on our pipeline.
  • Ensure proposed development and construction are designed and constructed in accordance with our Encroachment Evaluation Specifications and Regulatory Agency requirements.
  • Perform pipeline stress analysis associated with encroachment, including heavy equipment crossings, roadway and railroad crossings over existing pipeline, and provide pipeline protection and/or mitigation recommendations where applicable.
  • Provide written recommendations, design modification guidance, and stipulations to Encroachment Agreement or Letter of No Objection issued to encroaching entities by our Land Department.
  • Review proposed seismic survey operations, blasting operations, and construction-induced vibrations activities near or within our pipeline rights-of-way for compliance to our and industry standards.
  • Internal coordination with various departments within our company, including Land, Operations, Field Engineering Projects, Asset Integrity, and EHS&T.
  • Interface with private and governmental agencies, third-party owners, developers, contractors, and engineers to define project parameters and proposal scenarios.
  • Attend industry, federal, state, city, and county meetings as required to coordinate work and provide information.
