Job Title: Certified Peer Specialist - Coordinated Specialty Care

At Gulf Coast Center, we are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our Coordinated Specialty Care team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide peer support services to individuals with mental health conditions, helping them to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate weekly peer support groups to promote recovery support systems within the community.
  • Engage with community partners and referral sources to provide support and resources to clients.
  • Assist clients in articulating personal goals for recovery and developing a Wellness Plan.
  • Provide support to clients within the outpatient setting, identifying needs and meeting with clients as scheduled.
Requirements:
  • Certified Peer Specialist certification.
  • At least 2 years of personal recovery from a mental health diagnosis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and network with agencies to ensure appropriate referrals.
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be performed in the Office and/or Field settings.
  • May require varied work hours depending on the needs of clients.
  • Requires current Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
