We are seeking a dedicated full-time Legal Associate to become part of our team at Professional Partners Group, focusing on various legal matters pertaining to consumer protection. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and exposure to both transactional and civil litigation issues. Communication with our main office will be conducted through telephone and electronic platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing a substantial and varied caseload for clients in Ohio.
  • Engaging with clients to discuss their legal matters.
  • Preparing legal documents including pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda, as well as reviewing and drafting contracts.
  • Negotiating with opposing parties to resolve claims amicably.
  • Conducting legal research on both straightforward and intricate issues in contract law and consumer law.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents and strong organizational abilities, with a readiness to handle a demanding workload.
  • Must hold a valid license to practice law in Ohio (additional state admissions are advantageous).
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong legal research capabilities, with proficiency in LexisNexis being a plus.
