Job Title: Roadway Project Engineer

As a Roadway Project Engineer at Trilon Group, you will play a crucial role in the development of construction plans for roadway projects throughout Southwest Florida. Our team collaborates with clients, sub-consultant partners, and technical staff to deliver quality results within schedule and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering design, including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling, and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare project documentation, including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Package, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables.
  • Direct and mentor less-experienced support staff.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal pursuit efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
  • 4-10 years of transportation roadway design experience.
  • FDOT Experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Bentley's MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
