Job Description Summary

The Logistics Operations Supervisor oversees the shipping team and processes to guarantee the safe and efficient management of OES products and materials. This role is pivotal in leading a shipping crew to operate without injuries or incidents in a manufacturing setting. The supervisor will provide guidance and direction to their team, fostering motivation to achieve all productivity, safety, and quality objectives. They are committed to continuously enhancing performance and embracing changes that will assist both the team and the organization in meeting goals related to incoming and outgoing shipments, including the storage and distribution of all deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Generate Bills of Lading for outgoing shipments
  • Utilize the Open Order Report in NetSuite to create pick tickets for shipment planning
  • Delegate tasks to Shipping personnel based on pick tickets
  • Coordinate with transportation companies to arrange pick-up and delivery schedules
  • Assist in order fulfillment, including locating, transporting, and verifying the correct product numbers and quantities as per pick tickets, and scanning products from staging to finished goods
  • Maintain orderliness of the shipping and receiving areas
  • Ensure effective communication across all shifts
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day
