Position Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineering Lead to oversee a team of technical professionals dedicated to the creation and implementation of a unified Cloud Management Platform along with Platform as a Service offerings. This role involves guiding development teams through application transitions and various specialized initiatives that encompass applications, data, and the integration of new XaaS solutions. The Cloud Solutions Engineering Lead will report directly to the BPA Task Order Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate resource needs for engineering and integration projects.
  • Identify optimal resource combinations for specific initiatives.
  • Delegate engineering and integration personnel to Technical Delivery Managers.
  • Establish and uphold engineering protocols for the construction and deployment of cloud services and solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize the workload of a diverse engineering team in collaboration with the leadership group.
  • Ensure that engineering and integration staff maintain necessary technical competencies through ongoing training and certifications.
  • Address ad hoc inquiries from program leadership and clients as required.
  • Supervise technology assessments and pilot initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
  • Over ten (10) years of experience in IT leadership roles.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in engineering leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge across various domains including but not limited to Cloud technologies, DevSecOps, Containerization, Data Management, Security, Application Migration, and Networking.
  • Experience managing teams exceeding 25 full-time employees.
  • Strong leadership abilities, encompassing risk management, skill enhancement, task prioritization, performance oversight, and mentoring of cross-functional team members.
  • Capability to meet multiple deadlines in cross-functional, hybrid team settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels, as well as with team members.
  • Familiarity with leading automation tools in the industry.
  • Proven ability to stay abreast of emerging technologies and service offerings.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM).
  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Possession of a cloud certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL certification.
  • PMP certification.
  • Desirable DHS CBP clearance.
