We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist I to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues in various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Person-Centered Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement, monitor, and revise Person-Centered Plans, ensuring the highest level of functioning in the community.
- Relationship Building: Facilitate relationships between the company, families, local agencies, and the community, promoting a seamless support system.
- Supportive Counseling: Provide supportive counseling to minimize the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence, promoting daily living and personal development.
- Skill Building: Support clients in developing daily and community living skills, socialization skills, adaptation skills, and behavior and anger management.
- Case Management: Perform case management functions, linking and arranging services and referrals to ensure effective support.
- Communication and Feedback: Maintain open communication with clinical/professional staff, providing feedback and standardizing procedures to expedite PCP implementation.
- Service Utilization: Monitor service utilization to ensure it is effective, appropriate, and within limits set forth in rules, PCPs, and service authorizations.
- A GED or high school diploma is required.
- A minimum of one year of documented experience working with the population to be served or with the type of service being provided is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and automotive insurance are required.
