Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality mental health care to our patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations and creating treatment plans based on findings.
- Provide medication management, monitoring patients' response to medications and adjusting dosages as needed.
- Offer counseling and therapy to patients with mental health conditions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy to help manage symptoms and improve mental health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and care teams to coordinate care and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives to promote excellence in patient care.
- Master's or doctoral degree in nursing with specialization as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
- Current and unrestricted state of North Carolina license as an APRN with ANCC certification as a PNP.
- 2 years' experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center, with 3 years' experience in behavioral health evidenced-based practice treatment modalities and 2 years' experience providing clinical supervision.
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The physical demands of this role include frequent walking, standing, and moving about, with frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Repetitive movement of hands and fingers is required for typing and writing, and the ability to talk and hear is essential.
