Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Supportive Learning Environment: Establish a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Provide differentiated instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Instructional Techniques: Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assistive Technology: Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed to facilitate student participation and independence.
  • Social-Emotional Development: Monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Special Education: A Master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
  • Special Education License/Certification: Active Special Education License/Certification in CO is required.
  • IEP Experience: Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
