Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN conducts radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. Key responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, performing x-ray therapy, explaining procedures to patients, and positioning patients for imaging.
Responsibilities- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts.
- Perform x-ray therapy under the supervision of a Radiologist.
- Communicate with patients, addressing their concerns and explaining procedures.
- Position patients using immobilization devices.
- Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures as needed.
- Operate stationary and portable equipment in various hospital settings.
- Develop and process radiographs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems.
- Apply knowledge of age-specific patient needs in performing duties.
- Orient and mentor new staff members.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material.
- Assist with patient transportation.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- ARRT NMT Certification or NMT Certification.
- Current FL state licensure (Dept. of Health).
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
