Introduction

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist PRN to join our team. As a diagnostic sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using various modes and techniques to evaluate and record anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal, or pregnancy ultrasound.
  • Select and adjust equipment controls according to the organ being examined, depth of field, and other test specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and explaining procedures.
  • Key test data and patient information into computer systems to maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided biopsies and invasive procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information as necessary.
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material.
  • Assist with patient transportation as needed.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
  • Registered ARDMS (Abdominal and/or OB/GYN, RVT)
