We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to provide a positive experience.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate utilizing computerized documentation to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist with transporting patients as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
  • AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
