We are in search of a Travel Services Coordinator to join our team at Plex Travel.
As a Travel Services Coordinator, your role will involve supporting the Destination Manager in the effective organization of accommodations and event services for groups utilizing our facilities, ensuring their experience is both smooth and unforgettable. The ideal candidate will possess robust computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail to guarantee that all arrangements and logistics are executed with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Destination Manager with the request for proposal (RFP) process for new events, monitor responses, and incorporate new partner hotels.
- Collaborate closely with the Destination Manager to manage room block requests, reservations, and hotel inventory.
- Utilize computer skills efficiently to establish room blocks and create new events using designated software.
- Regularly gather feedback from end users and update the Plex Travel website as necessary.
- Provide weekly verification of room night pickups for all events to partner hotels.
- Oversee the reconciliation process post-event, ensuring hotel pickup reports are verified and communicated to the accounting department promptly.
- Send weekly team contact details to each hotel partner.
- Assist local partners in promoting special offers and discounts for teams visiting the area, such as dining, entertainment, and recreational activities.
- Perform additional duties as required within the department or for other departments.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Strong computer proficiency, communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Sales experience is advantageous, but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with team sports is a plus, though not essential.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to ensure successful execution of group logistics.
