Controller - Financial Operations Manager

Overview:
Advanced Circuits is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join its dynamic team. The Controller will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, inventory accounting, capital assets reconciliations and reporting, fixed assets, and debt/equity activity.
· Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial statements and reports.
· Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
· Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Coordinate internal and external audits.
· Improve systems and procedures and initiate actions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
· Oversee the administration of travel and expense policies, procedures, and tools.
· Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and payments.
· Support purchase accounting and integration activities of acquired companies.
· Collaborate with FP&A and factory GMs on performance measurement.
· Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
· CPA required
· 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with previous experience as a Controller
· Substantive experience in a manufacturing industry preferred
· Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
· Experience with tax regulations and compliance
· Strong MS Excel skills
· Excellent analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy
· Outstanding communication skills
