Your primary responsibilities will include processing monetary transactions, maintaining precise records of deposits and withdrawals, and managing various banking operations.
This role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift, carry, or move heavy items, including currency and coin weighing up to 45 pounds. Manual dexterity, along with visual and auditory acuity, is essential for performing the duties of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and facilitate paper and cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and the sale of negotiable instruments.
- Assist customers with access to safe deposit boxes as needed.
- Process mail and night drop transactions efficiently.
- Maintain necessary files, including signature cards and transaction logs.
- Balance the teller drawer at the end of each shift and complete any additional wrap-up tasks.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in communicating with clients and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Skilled in operating computer workstations, printers, and other banking equipment.
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with banking products, policies, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of general banking principles and a willingness to engage in educational opportunities.
- Competence in basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Preferred Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
