Key Responsibilities- Build and Maintain Relationships
Establish and maintain strong relationships with producers, brokers, and other insurance professionals through superior product and services knowledge, territory management practices, and excellent customer service.
Achieve Sales GoalsMeet office and personal sales goals through consultation, negotiations, and positioning of Unum offerings within profit and product design guidelines.
Identify and Procure New Sales OpportunitiesIdentify and pursue new customer sales opportunities in partnership with brokers in the territory.
Execute Renewal StrategyDevelop and execute an annual renewal strategy to support office renewal goals.
Manage Inforce BusinessManage the inforce block of business to build new and integrated sales opportunities with existing clients.
Represent Unum ProductsRepresent Group, Dental/Vision, and Voluntary products in the local market.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree
A bachelor's degree is required for this role.
LicensingLicensure to solicit insurance in the states within the assigned territory is required.
Product KnowledgeA thorough understanding of Unum's products and services is essential.
Leadership PresenceA leadership presence with internal and external partners is required, along with strong relationship-building skills.
Communication SkillsSuperior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are necessary for success in this role.
Analytical SkillsThe ability to quickly analyze, adapt, and apply new information and concepts is essential.
Decision-MakingStrength in applying accurate logic and common sense in making decisions is required.
