Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Student Support Services team. The successful candidate will provide mental health services to students in a school setting, working under the supervision of a mental health professional and within the special education program guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to students, including assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to ensure coordinated services for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Provide leadership and facilitation of skills training, both in groups and individually, as determined by the needs of the student.
  • Comply with DHS regulations for CTSS providers and maintain accurate documentation of student mental health goals, objectives, and progress.
Requirements
  • One year of college coursework (30 semester hours) in a human service field AND 2,000 supervised experience hours, with supervision provided by a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field AND related internship experience (or 2,000 supervised hours).
  • Masters degree in human service or related field.
  • A high school diploma and 4,000 supervised experience hours, with supervision provided by a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
