The Oyster Bar Culinary Specialist plays a vital role in our dining experience. In this position, you will engage with guests in the main dining area while preparing exquisite raw bar dishes. You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients daily and serve as an ambassador for our seafood offerings, sharing your expertise with patrons at the oyster bar.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous culinary training is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus
  • Current Food Handlers Card is required
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Thorough knowledge of cooking techniques and restaurant menu items
  • Understanding of food preparation methods, quality standards, and presentation
  • Familiarity with food service and preparation equipment

Essential Responsibilities: All tasks must be performed in accordance with restaurant standards.

  • Engage with guests regarding raw bar offerings and provide exceptional service
  • Prepare food items for service periods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and service areas
  • Cook during scheduled meal periods
  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties
  • Manage soiled wares and transport them to the dishwashing area
  • Follow instructions from management
  • Adhere to maintenance and cleaning schedules
  • Report any food item deficiencies to the Chef or Sous Chef
  • Communicate any relevant information regarding shift activities to management
  • Notify management of maintenance needs or safety concerns
