Job Summary:As a Registered Nurse with Wexford Health, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients, while maintaining the highest standards of professional nursing.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and psychosocial dimensions to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide leadership to RNs, LPNs, MAs, CNAs, and other nursing paraprofessionals in patient care.
- Review and monitor patients receiving medications, maintaining accurate charts and records.
- Utilize therapeutic communication skills to elicit pertinent historical information and make referrals as needed.
- Implement professional nursing services in a thorough and competent manner, adhering to standards, rules, protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Current, valid IL State Registered Nursing License.
- Current CPR Certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional nursing experience a plus.
