  • Safety and Security
    • Safely assist children on and off the school bus and ensure they are properly secured in safety restraints.
    • Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for children while on the bus.
  • Attendance and Record-Keeping
    • Complete daily attendance records for children riding the bus.
    • Submit attendance records to the supervisor on a weekly basis.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience.
    • Collaborate with the bus driver to enforce bus rules and ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Emergency Preparedness
    • Participate in emergency bus evacuation drills and transportation safety workshops.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the agency and program needs.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 1 year of experience assisting in the operation of a school bus.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to speak, read, write, comprehend, process, interpret, and follow instructions in the English language.
    • Basic computer skills to access agency email and Employee Self Service.
