Job Title: Bus Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Bus Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of children on and off the school bus, maintaining accurate attendance records, and providing a positive environment for riders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist children in safely boarding and exiting the school bus, ensuring proper use of safety restraints.
  • Provide a pleasant and safe environment for children while on the bus, engaging them in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them to the supervisor on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and program rules of conduct.
  • Support the Bus Driver in enforcing bus rules and ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience assisting in the operation of a school bus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills to access HOPES CAP, Inc. email and Employee Self Service.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
