Position Overview:
U.S. Bank is looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Implementing and managing security solutions and technologies to safeguard data and assets from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, destruction, modification, or disruption.

- Providing leadership in security projects, overseeing security measures, and managing risks effectively.

- Establishing security design guidelines, frameworks, and models to enhance our security posture.

- Identifying emerging security threats and risks, and developing comprehensive mitigation strategies.

- Documenting security objectives and participating in projects aimed at creating new intellectual property.

- Mentoring and training team members to foster a culture of security awareness.

- Building strong relationships across the organization to promote trust and collaboration.

- Evaluating and recommending new security products and technologies to enhance our defenses.

- Developing and interpreting security policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.

- Supporting vendor risk assessments and due diligence during acquisitions.

- Leading the deployment and maintenance of security tools utilized in our insider threat program.

- Proactively seeking solutions to mitigate risks and effectively communicating these risks to relevant stakeholders.

Work Environment:
This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with an expectation of in-office presence for three or more days per week, while allowing flexibility for remote work on other days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and operate security-related applications and systems to drive security initiatives.
- Conduct security assessments, research current threat techniques, and create emulations of these techniques.
- Optimize security processes and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across various security domains, raising awareness and communicating security risks within the organization.
- Participate in technical investigations and training opportunities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in information security.
  • Two or more years of experience in software development, systems administration, or IT infrastructure management.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking or network administration.
  • Experience in a defensive cybersecurity role (e.g., SOC, Detections engineering, Threat hunting).
  • Familiarity with adversary emulation techniques.
  • Experience with cyber intelligence analysis or threat intelligence reports.
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in Git workflows and best practices.
  • Experience with Linux distributions.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code practices.
  • Experience with tools like Terraform, Packer, or Ansible.
  • Understanding of information security architecture and technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive technical troubleshooting knowledge.
