Job Summary

By Light is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to support our operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure and manage the inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adequate stock levels.
  • Determine the best source of supply, using quotes or bids from multiple vendors, to ensure the best price and quickest availability.
  • Obtain purchase approval, in advance, utilizing a list with item name, quantity, source, unit price, and total price for each item.
  • Manage and maintain the Government cable yard, storing spare copper cable and fiber cable for daily and emergency use.
  • Establish an audit trail accounting for the usage of parts.
  • Provide a monthly Parts Usage Report.
  • Prepare DA Form 2407 for turn-in at DLA Disposition Services of all broken or obsolete parts, and used/damaged cable or fiber, on a quarterly basis.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Possess an associate's degree or have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Residential Qualification (On-the-Job) – Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSSA).
  • Minimum of two years' experience supporting supply/warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the Army or other DoD Agency.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Security Clearance

  • Secret Security Clearance required.
