We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Course Content Developer to join our team at the University of Western States. As an Adjunct Faculty Member, you will be responsible for creating high-quality course content and resources for our Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
Key Responsibilities- Create course content and resources, including lectures, presentations, assignments, learning activities, assessments, and other elements specified.
- Work closely with the Program Director to ensure that all course materials meet program standards for quality and rigor.
- Collaborate with instructional design staff to ensure that all course materials are consistent with best practices and are compatible with our learning management system.
- Develop course materials and assessments that align with course student learning outcomes, program learning outcomes, and accreditation standards.
- Identify outside resources to be used for assigned reading/viewing, supporting resources, and optional exploration opportunities.
- Contribute material for use in the program's culminating assessments.
- Coordinate successful course delivery, including providing key course documents according to specified deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research and clinical practice developments in areas relevant to the course content.
- Attend trainings, faculty meetings, and other professional development activities as assigned.
- Master's or doctoral degree from a US-accredited occupational therapy program.
- Occupational Therapist certification by the National Board Certification Commission for OT.
- Oregon OT License (if teaching course).
- Prior experience teaching in a clinical or academic setting.
- Documentation of OT experience in course-related content area.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with general computing tasks.
- Experience with educational technologies, such as online learning systems and lecture capture.
- Post-Professional OTD, PhD, or EdD.
- Experience with online learning theory and best practices.
- Adult learning theory and best practices.
- Experience with educational technologies, such as online library systems and video conferencing tools.
