About the Role

Powell Industries is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Southeast Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom engineered solutions using non-standard applications of Powell standard products.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer specifications and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Work closely with the shop team to ensure that designs are feasible and can be implemented efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Interface with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of electrical design and circuitry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

The employee will typically perform duties in a normal office environment, with some work in a shop environment and exposure to the elements of our shop. Additionally, there may be some work performed in the field with exposure to construction sites or active customer facilities.
