Job Opportunity: Nursing Assistant
Job Summary:Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and promote a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to patients, including personal hygiene, nutritional support, and comfort measures.
  • Assist with patient transfers, vital sign taking, and recordkeeping.
  • Recognize and report changes in patient condition to registered nurses.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment to promote patient healing.
  • Work within job scope to meet regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.

Requirements:
  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • 6 months of nursing assistant experience
  • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
  • Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire
  • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
  • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
  • BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date

Work Environment:

Job Location: Building B - St Marys Medical Center

Shift Rotation: Day/Eve/Night Rotation (United States of America)

Hours Per Pay Period: 32

Compensation Range: $16.72 - $21.58 / hour

Union: SMMC Main Service Workers Local 70 (SMSVW)

FTE: 0.4

Weekends: Every Other
