Position Overview


The IT Project Manager plays a crucial role in steering and guiding cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to established project methodologies and Agile/Scrum frameworks. This role is pivotal in executing initiatives that align with the IT strategic roadmap. The Project Manager collaborates closely with Product Managers and various business stakeholders to define project scope and priorities, budget planning, expectation management, and regular progress reporting, all while coordinating project delivery across the organization.


This position involves providing project status updates and facilitating monthly steering committee meetings to oversee project implementation and support.


Key Responsibilities


1. Lead diverse teams, including internal personnel and external vendors, in daily stand-ups, iteration planning, and reviews, while monitoring project delivery and team performance.


2. Identify and address risks, mitigate obstacles, and negotiate dependencies across teams to ensure commitments are met.


3. Collaborate with Product Managers and technical team members to grasp business challenges, deliverables, and ensure timely, budget-compliant work that meets defined objectives.


4. Foster open communication channels with team members and stakeholders to promote team success.


5. Utilize agile development tools to manage product backlogs, sprint workloads, team capacity, and testing plans.


6. Oversee post-release project incidents to resolution and perform root cause analysis and corrective action follow-ups.


7. Manage project resources and budgets through portfolio management tools.


8. Create, maintain, and disseminate status documents for inclusion in the IT initiative portfolio and dashboards.


Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:


- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.


- 5 to 7 years of experience leading teams utilizing agile and hybrid agile/waterfall methodologies.


- Fundamental understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).


- A growth mindset and a commitment to Servant Leadership principles.


- Strong ownership mentality regarding project leadership.


- Familiarity with business analysis best practices and the ability to facilitate and document requirements.


- Knowledge of quality assurance best practices, test plan development, and execution.


- Excellent judgment, collaboration skills, and effective communication abilities (both written and verbal) across various organizational levels.


- Capability to manage competing work demands and multiple initiatives simultaneously.


- PMP and Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred.


- Experience in delivering enterprise solutions for manufacturing and product engineering is advantageous, including solutions like BOM tracker, MES (Solumina iSeries), and PLM (Windchill).


- Previous experience with agile project management tools such as Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps is preferred.
