The Trainee Store Manager (TSM) will engage in a structured training program under the guidance of the Store Manager, gaining the skills necessary to oversee, coordinate, and lead the daily operations of the store. You will foster a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for both customers and team members, aligning with Rocket's objectives, policies, and procedures. Individuals in this role will receive direct oversight within a framework of clearly defined company policies and practices. All TSMs will undergo practical training from the Store Manager and/or District Manager prior to advancing into a Store Manager position.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory, lead, or assistant managerial role within a retail or food service setting.
  • Proven ability to mentor, train, and elevate team members to achieve their career aspirations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid and clean Driver's License is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States upon hiring.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts and holidays.
  • Capability to stand and/or walk for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground level to overhead for up to 30 minutes during the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally exert a force of up to 20 pounds (e.g., using a hand-truck).
  • Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials, and/or to place or remove signage.
  • Each store has its own unique ambiance, and some locations may require comfort in smaller spaces at times.
