Job Summary:
The Office Manager - Purchasing Agent will play a dual role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office operations and managing the procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration and purchasing, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, administrative tasks, and general office upkeep.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related issues and vendor management.
- Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment required for construction projects.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to identify purchasing needs.
- Maintain and update purchase records, supplier information, and contracts.
- Analyze and assess vendor performance to ensure the best pricing and service for all construction-related purchases.
- Support the finance team with budgeting and expenditure tracking.
- Assist in planning and executing office events, meetings, and other administrative projects.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in office management and/or purchasing roles, ideally in the construction or related industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks, and experience with procurement software or systems.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
