Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and execution of innovative programs and strategies while ensuring compliance with regulations and risk management protocols.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of existing risk management practices across the organization, fostering collaboration with colleagues to enhance the control environment.
  • Analyze operational data to provide insights into the implications for business functions, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Implement essential risk program functions, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), while offering valuable perspectives to the Business Control team.
  • Promote a robust risk culture and literacy within the organization, focusing on preventive and detective controls.
  • Engage in research and data analysis to support strategic initiatives and business model adjustments.
  • Serve as the liaison for risk management and compliance activities, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across all business lines to facilitate collaboration and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop clear and impactful communication materials for senior management, including presentations for various meetings.
  • Prioritize risk management objectives and lead special projects as needed.
  • Support audit and examination activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Mentor and develop risk talent within the organization through coaching and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years in risk and control management within a financial institution.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or project management capacity.
  • A minimum of 3 years focused on operational risk management control design and auditing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degrees (MBA, JD) are preferred.
  • Extensive experience in project management and complex problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial services and regulatory requirements related to banking operations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop applications, including MS Office Suite.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with eligibility for bonuses and commissions.
