Brodson Construction, Inc. is a specialized construction firm with over three decades of expertise in general contracting and construction oversight across high-end commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail sectors.

As a Construction Project Scheduler at Brodson, your primary responsibility will be to create and sustain construction project timelines while supporting the preconstruction and project management teams. This includes drafting, revising, and monitoring each project schedule, identifying delays and milestones, and offering strategic guidance for effective schedule management. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are essential, along with proven management and leadership abilities. You should be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively, ensuring full transparency as required by the project or client. Additionally, you will be accountable for developing, reviewing, reporting, and supervising construction schedules.

Our projects span various counties, and the Scheduler will operate from our office.

  • Collaborate across departments with preconstruction and project management to formulate, update, and uphold schedules.
  • Integrate a master schedule for all projects.
  • Assess the master schedule for key milestones and ensure coordination between schedules and performance against the baseline.
  • Conduct schedule reviews, prepare regular update analysis reports, investigate schedule impacts, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential cost and schedule overruns.
  • Monitor and report the schedule status of the program to senior and executive management.
  • Represent the company and/or project in discussions with owners, A/E representatives, and other contractors as necessary.
  • Develop various schedule scenarios, mitigation plans, look-ahead schedules, and time impact analyses.
  • Identify scheduling challenges, variations, opportunities, and corrective measures to prevent project delays.
  • Prepare necessary reports as directed by management, including Weekly Construction Reports, cash flows, histograms, earned value reports, and performance evaluations.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing resource-loaded Design and Construction Schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Relevant experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting on work progress.
  • Proven track record of career stability and scheduling success.
  • Ability to assess potential impacts to the schedule for acceleration or delay.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent combination of technical training and professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in commercial/general contracting, particularly with high-end restaurant, retail, and commercial office projects.
