Job Summary:The Regional Commodity Buyer will be responsible for researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services, meeting with vendors, and submitting purchase orders. They will also manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, as well as process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate entry into the system.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with vendors to maintain positive, long-term partnerships and negotiate contracts and prices
- Monitor inventory levels and determine purchase needs
- Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services to select the most suitable options
- Schedule and verify purchase deliveries
- Manage the receipt of repairs and collaborate with logistics drivers, inside sales, and management involved in the shipment and receipt of products
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with Infor Syteline in a purchasing role, with prior experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing
- Strong organization and documentation skills, with ability to pick up new ERP software systems and Microsoft programs
- Competitive compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience
