Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. The Adult Day Training Instructor will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of all individuals, treating them with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Complete documentation requirements, including daily notes and summaries on progress toward established support plans.
- Develop and maintain a positive and calm environment throughout the facility.
- Assist individuals with meals, bowel, and bladder functions, as needed.
- Facilitate daily classes and activities that align with the Person-Centered philosophy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college credits or degree can substitute for experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare/adult care setting.
- Must pass Level II background check and drug screen.
